  • 10 kg, which covers a genuine bookshelf speaker rather than only a satellite
  • The 25 × 25 cm top plate is larger than some bookshelf speakers' bases, which is the wrong way round

Best for: Real bookshelf speakers in a living room, on a stand that has to look deliberate.

The listing that publishes its dimensions

Base 30 × 30 cm. Top plate 25 × 25 cm. Cable opening 22 × 46 mm. No other stand in this catalogue gives any of those, and all three matter: the base decides stability, the plate decides whether the speaker fits properly, and the opening decides whether a terminated cable will pass through.

The measurement to check against your speaker

The 25 × 25 cm top plate. The rule is that the plate should be no larger than the speaker’s base — a plate protruding past the cabinet reflects the speaker’s own output back slightly late, and it looks wrong. Several bookshelf speakers are narrower than 25 cm. Measure before ordering.

The height

72 to 95 cm, for a seated ear at 95 to 110 cm with the tweeter partway up the cabinet. That is the right range, and it is shared here only with the Sanus.

The load

10 kg. Enough for a real bookshelf speaker, where the Sanus stops at 1.6 kg and is a satellite stand.

The two kinds of foot pad

For a hard floor and a soft one. Spikes bite through carpet into the slab; rubber protects a wooden floor. Supplying both is the right answer, and it is the detail that stops a stand marking a floor it was never meant to.

What is still absent

A fillable column. Sand adds mass and stops the column ringing, and it is the only measurable improvement in this category. Nothing in this catalogue offers it.
