An electric screen buys back the wall when the film ends, and it introduces the one failure this whole category has: waves. A plain roller screen hangs from a tube and keeps the memory of being rolled; a tab-tensioned one pulls the fabric sideways with cords and stays flat. On a long throw the difference is mild; with a short throw projector it decides whether the installation works at all.
