The mechanism costs almost nothing here. A motorised screen at roughly half the price of its neighbours makes “the wall comes back” affordable in a room where it otherwise would not be.
4:3. Every film will letterbox: the width is used and there is unlit fabric above and below. That is not a defect and it is a choice, and it has to be made knowingly rather than discovered.
“1 829 mm” without a qualifier. Image, fabric and total width differ by the casing, and on a constrained wall that difference decides whether the screen fits. The manual will say; the listing does not.
Gain, black backing, tab tensioning. At this price that is expected, and it means the surface cannot be compared with one that publishes them. In a dark room with a long-throw projector, plain white behaves predictably enough that this matters less than it would elsewhere.
