A version number printed on a cable is not a specification: HDMI licensing forbids selling cables by version, and the meaningful labels are the categories — "Premium High Speed" for 18 Gbit/s and "Ultra High Speed" for 48 Gbit/s, the latter carrying a certification hologram that can be verified in an app. That is the whole purchase for a short run. Length changes the problem: a passive copper cable reliably carries 48 Gbit/s to about three metres, beyond which the honest options are an active cable with a directional marking, or an optical one. Everything else on the listing — braiding, gold plating, thickness — is construction rather than capability.
