Does a Y-split make the subwoofer louder?

On most designs, no. The two inputs on a subwoofer are usually summed internally, so feeding both with the same signal produces the same result as feeding one. The Y-split exists for convenience and for designs that genuinely expect both, not for level.

Is ten metres too long for an analogue run?
