A five-speaker set with no subwoofer — a 5.0 rather than a 5.1, which the page says first because it is the thing that is discovered at delivery.
The bottom line Five matched speakers with a three-way centre and no subwoofer — a genuine 5.0, said plainly, on a shelf where that distinction is usually buried.
There is no subwoofer. It is a 5.0 set: two floorstanders, a centre and two satellites. The shelf is called “5.1 packages” and this is not one, and that is the sort of difference discovered at delivery rather than at purchase.
The floorstanders. Unlike a satellite package, this set has real cabinets at the front producing real bass, so the system is not thin without a subwoofer. Set the front speakers to “large” in the receiver until a subwoofer is added.
Three-way, at this price. A dedicated midrange driver in the channel that carries dialogue is unusual in a package, and it is the strongest technical point of this set.
A receiver. Passive speakers need amplification, decoding and switching, and none of that is here.
Summed across five speakers, without conditions. This page states it as published and does not compare it with an RMS figure — those are different quantities and there is no factor between them.

Not immediately — the floorstanders produce real bass, which is why a 5.0 works at all. Adding one later relieves them of that work and is heard as clarity at volume as much as depth. Set the receiver to "large" for the fronts until you do.
A receiver. The speakers are passive, so amplification, decoding and switching all come from a component that is not in this box — and it costs more than the speakers do at this price.
