The unusual thing in this listing

The maker states that the gold looks dull and explains why: it is plated directly onto the core with no nickel underlayer, where a shiny finish usually comes from nickel beneath a thin gold layer. A listing that explains an appearance most buyers would read as a defect is being straight with them.

Whether that changes anything audible is a claim this page will not make. What it changes is how the plating wears.

The termination
