The measurement that decides it

40.64 × 27.94 cm. The tray. The maker states it and explicitly invites comparing a projector’s footprint against it, which is the right instruction — a projector overhanging its tray is unstable regardless of the load rating.

The height range

66 to 131 cm. Low enough for a coffee-table geometry and high enough for a table-height throw. The lens has to end up just below or just above the bottom edge of the image, depending on the projector’s own vertical offset — which is why a range this wide is useful.

What a tray cannot do

Hold the projector. It sits by gravity and friction, and a tray tilted towards a screen holds by less. A 1/4-inch photographic thread screwed into the projector’s own socket holds positively, and that is the mounting interface to prefer when the projector has the socket.

The figure that is missing

The stand’s own weight. A light tripod with a two-kilogram projector at a metre and a half is a trip hazard with an expensive object on top. Stability is a function of mass and leg spread, not of load rating, and neither is published.

Where it belongs

A projector that moves — between rooms, into a garden, to a friend’s house. That is the case a ceiling mount cannot answer, and it is what this stand is for.
