The display is the feature
Every transmitter on this shelf depends on which codec is actually negotiated, and normally there is no way to find out. Headphones that claim aptX connect over SBC; a low-latency transmitter delivers 200 ms because the other end could not agree. This unit’s OLED display names the active codec, which turns the shelf’s central uncertainty into something visible.
Nothing else in this catalogue does that.
Auracast, and its condition
Instead of pairing one to one, the transmitter broadcasts: any number of capable receivers can join. That removes the two-listener limit every other transmitter here has.
The condition is that the headphones support Auracast, and most current headphones do not. It is a feature bought for the future as much as for today.
The bypass
Toslink with a pass-through. The soundbar keeps working while somebody listens on headphones — which is the arrangement most households actually want, rather than one person listening and everyone else in silence.
A computer or tablet connects directly, without a 3.5 mm adapter. Small, and it broadens what the unit is for.
What is not in the box
The mains adapter. USB power works; a plug for it has to come from somewhere else.
