The codec is the reason to choose it

LDAC, with a stated Hi-Res Audio certification. It carries considerably more than SBC, which is the codec everything falls back to. No other receiver in this catalogue names a high-resolution codec at all.

The condition attached

LDAC needs a phone that supports it. Most current Android phones do; iPhones do not, and will connect over AAC or SBC. The receiver works either way — the reason for choosing it does not.

The battery

15 hours, charging over USB-C, usable while charging. That makes it portable as well as fixed, and it is the opposite design decision from the mains-powered receiver at the entry end of this shelf. Which is right depends on whether the unit lives in a rack or moves.

The honest note about pairing

Two devices pair at once, and while one plays the other can only pause. That is not full multipoint and the maker says so. It also states that certain iPhone and Samsung models need manual reconnection after the unit is switched off.

Both are specific and reproducible. Publishing them is worth more than a page of feature claims.

The output

3.5 mm and RCA, both analogue. The conversion happens here rather than in the amplifier.
