Vogel's Comfort TVM 3405 fixed flat TV wall mount, 32–77" review

A 22 mm gap with a single-click lock and a deliberate cable access channel — the fixed mount that thought about what happens after installation.

The bottom line The best-considered fixed mount here, with one limit to check before ordering: the VESA pattern.

The two features that justify the price

ClickLoc and a designed cable access route. The first secures the television with one movement rather than a screw behind the set; the second addresses the problem every flat mount has, which is that there is no room for a plug once the set is up.

The gap

22 mm. Between the closest mount here and the deepest, and paired with the access route it is the most usable of the three positions.

The limit that rules it out

VESA 400×400 maximum, against a 77-inch size rating. Large televisions frequently use wider patterns, and the size rating does not imply the hole pattern. Measure the spacing on the back of the set before ordering — this is the single most common reason a mount goes back.

The AR app

It marks the drill positions through a phone camera. Whether that beats a spirit level and a pencil is a matter of taste; it does remove one source of error.

The figure that describes the bracket

50 kg, tested by the maker on the mount. The wall behind it is a separate question with a separate answer.

What we like, and what we don't

Strengths

  • A designed cable access route, which is the failure mode of every flat mount
  • A single-click lock, so the set is secured without reaching behind it
  • Compatible with LED, OLED, QLED, LCD and 4K sets, stated explicitly
  • An AR app for marking the drill positions

Compromises

  • VESA stops at 400×400 despite the 77-inch rating, so a large set may not fit
  • The most expensive fixed mount here
  • The stated 50 kg is a bracket figure, as always

Questions people actually ask

Why is cable access a design feature rather than an afterthought?

Because a television 22 mm from a wall leaves no room for a plug, and the usual answer is to take the set off. A mount with a designed access route means changing a cable is a five-minute job instead of a two-person one.

Will it fit a 77-inch television?

Only if that set uses a VESA pattern of 400×400 or smaller, and many large sets do not. The size rating and the VESA rating are two separate limits and both have to be satisfied — measure the holes.
