Which fixed TV mount fits my television?
Two limits decide a mount and both have to be satisfied: the screen size and the VESA hole pattern. The Hama takes 37 to 90 inches and VESA up to 800 × 400 mm at a stated 100 kg, which is what a very large television needs. The Vogel’s stops at 400 × 400 despite a 77-inch rating — and it is the mount that thought about what happens after installation, with a designed cable access route and a single-click lock. Buy the Hama for a large television. VESA to 800 × 400 is the specification that rules mounts out for big sets, and it is the one figure the Vogel’s cannot match.
Buy the Vogel’s for a set that fits within 400 × 400. The cable route and the single-click lock are what make a flat mount liveable after the day it goes up.
The VESA pattern. Size ratings are generous and hole patterns are not: many televisions above 75 inches use spacings wider than 400 mm, and a mount rated to that size still cannot reach them. Measure the holes on the back of the set before ordering anything.
