BenQ

DLP, and a specification sheet that names its conditions

What they actually do

Single-chip DLP projection, across ranges that are genuinely different rather than differently badged: a home cinema model tuned for contrast and colour, a gaming model tuned for input lag and refresh rate.

Why that matters on this site

The distinction is one buyers make and most catalogues blur. A projector optimised for a bright meeting room is not the machine to buy for a dark living room, and BenQ tends to say which is which.

The figure to read

Stated ANSI lumens with the picture mode named. A projector quoted at its brightest mode is quoted in a mode almost nobody watches films in.
