200 to 250 cm of height. A portable screen is used in rooms with improvised seating, and how high the surface can be raised decides whether the back row sees the image. It is a more useful specification for this mechanism than gain would be, and it is almost never published.
Raise the bottom edge above standing heads for a party or a demonstration; lower it for a seated group. A screen fixed at one height serves one of those.

Gain and a keystone bar. The second matters here as on every tripod screen: without a bar to tilt the fabric backwards, a projector placed low has to correct digitally and the image softens.
At the legs. On the cheapest screen of this type, the stand is what fails, and it fails where it folds. A metal assembly is worth the difference over a plastic hub.

Because a portable screen is often used where seating is improvised. A surface that raises to 250 cm clears standing heads; one fixed at 180 does not. It is the specification that decides whether the back of a room sees anything, and almost no listing publishes it.
It depends entirely on the stand. The fabric at this tier is plain white and behaves predictably; the leg assembly is what fails after a season of setups. Inspect that rather than the surface.
