The bottom line The right box for a system worth keeping — small, named converter, and designed around the fact that good amplifiers outlive their inputs.
Adding network streaming to equipment that predates it. Teufel states that purpose explicitly, and it is a better description of this product than any specification: the value is that nothing else has to change.
Cirrus Logic. Naming the part means its own manufacturer’s specification applies, which makes the claim checkable. Two products in this catalogue do that, and both are on this shelf.
The maximum sample rate and DSD handling. On a digital source those are the numbers, and this listing does not carry them.
Above it. A Bluetooth receiver depends on the phone: the phone decodes, the phone stays in the room, and the codec limits what arrives. A network player fetches the stream itself over Wi-Fi and the phone is only a remote control.
It is small. On a shelf already holding an amplifier, that decides whether it fits — and a streamer that has to go somewhere visible is a different purchase from one that hides.

Any amplifier with a spare analogue or digital input, which is almost all of them. That is the point of this class of product: it adds a capability without asking anything else to change.
