The bottom line The height module that has a second life as a rear speaker — which is the right purchase in a room whose ceiling is an unknown.
Dolby Atmos Enabled Speaker. A defined standard covering the driver angle, dispersion and filtering that make a ceiling reflection read as height. A speaker carrying it has been designed to that specification rather than described as suitable.
A flat, hard, horizontal ceiling at ordinary height. Up-firing modules work by reflection, and a sloped, beamed or absorbent ceiling absorbs what they send. That is stated in manuals across this category and rarely on boxes.
If the ceiling does not cooperate, most height modules are a wasted purchase. These mount conventionally on a wall as rear speakers instead, with a rotating bracket built in for both orientations. That turns an uncertain purchase into a safe one.
Sensitivity and impedance. Height channels are driven by a receiver’s last amplifiers, which are usually its least generous, so those figures would matter — and they are absent.

That the speaker meets Dolby's requirements for an up-firing module: the driver angle, the dispersion and the filtering designed to make the reflection read as height. It is a defined standard, so it means more than a listing describing a speaker as suitable for Atmos.
Up-firing will produce very little, and this is where this particular pair earns its price: it can be mounted conventionally as a rear speaker instead. Most height modules cannot do that job.
